The top two photos show a 1:400 paper site model of the Robinson and Merhige U.S. Courthouse in Richmond, Virginia. This helped to show the building in context, which was important as the project occupied an important block in the downtown historic core and had to fit in well with its neighbors.

The bottom image shows a 1:20 foam core study model of the atrium of the Robinson and Merhige U.S. Courthouse. This stood over seven feet tall and allowed the analysis of light and shadow in the space.
